This has got to be the worst premise a movie has been given in a long time, I mean come on. The only thing I can say is I hope Ryan Reynolds has not damaged his career after appearing in this. And as for ruined careers, Jeff Bridges role is worse.

It could have been much better. The script was semi-awful and the direction was terrible. At points in the film, it is hard to remember which world you are seeing, the Reynolds/Bridges characters or the Avatars that really represent them. An old Chinese man as Reynolds avatar and a beauty as Bridges'.

If the film "Monkeybone" comes to mind, that is what I am reminded of when I write this. "R.I.P.D." was just as dumb!
